Mineral waters

Between Mont-Gerbier-de-Jonc and the Ardèche gorges, a volcanic soil stretches called Cévennes of young volcanoes. It is a rich soil shared by basalt organs and rivers such as Volane, Fontaulière and Lignon, where a multitude of mineral springs gush out, most of them are fizzy ones.

Vals-les-Bains () is the spa resort having the largest number of springs. Over three centuries, more than 150 ones were discovered, some of them were found on the table of the king of France at the 18thC. Todays Vals bottles with their green colours go with all our meals. More than 37 millions of bottles are produced per year.

Vals is not the only one. Ardèche boasts a range of fizzy minerales waters, such as Reine des Basaltes, Ventadour, Chantemerle, Vernet, Arcens and La Ferrugineuse Incomparable. They all possess properties recognised and approved by the Department of Health and the Academy of Medicine.

# Vals: Recognized since 1602, she's soft and light, with small bubbles. She has refreshing

# Ventadour : Naturally sparkling, pure and mild, slightly mineralized and slightly salty.

# La Reine des Basaltes : Naturally sparkling, she's bicarbonated, and got calcium
and magnesium. She helps digestion.

# Vernet : Naturally sparkling, plus addition with the source's natural gas. She's light, slightly mineralized and salty, and bicarbonated.

# Arcens : Naturally sparkling with a salty taste. A refreshing bicarbonated water.
