The Ardèche Gorges Nature Reserve
The Nature Reserve was established in January 1980 to preserve the remarkable site of the Ardeche’s Gorges, their natural Mediterranean habitats, their associated fauna and flora. It also protects our cultural heritage, whether prehistoric or more recent, magnificent testimony of ancient human presence.

Descent of the Gorges:
The wild camping is prohibited in the gorges as much by security than to ensure the wildlife peacefully necessary for its activities. Only the bivouac areas of Gaud and Gournier welcomed by appointment the practitioners.
