Canoeing in Ardèche
Canoeing is readily available on the four main rivers (Ardèche, Chassezac, Eyrieux, Doux), on stretches classified for difficulty from 1 to 6,from peaceful backwaters to challenging broken waters suitable only for the most experienced.
There are several lengths of descent, even a short one of 5 miles, the “mini-descent” (from Vallon to Chames, passing under the Pont d'Arc. This descent can be done at any time of the day).

The Doux river
In Ardèche Verte (Green Ardèche), this river stretches from the Ardèche plateau to the Rhône valley. It is a subtil mixture of harmonious landscapes, wild gorges, forests, meadows and fruit orchards. The surprising gorges are mostly unaccessible by car, especially between Boucieu-le-Roi and Tournon-sur-Rhône and is a natural playground for canoeists or kayakists as well as for anyone enjoying bathing.
