Vinezac

The white and ochre stones of this tiny fortified village in the southern Ardèche contrast with the tender green of the vines that surround it.
Julien Castle counts among the fortifications which have survived.
The small Romanesque church, a listed historic monument, is typical of the south with its roof of stone tiles (lauzes), instead of glazed clay, and is worth visiting for the quality of its eighteenth-century paintings.
